K. L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, established in 1970, is a pioneer and one of the leading women educational institutions in Faridabad. The college is named after its founder Sh. K.L. Mehta, a dedicated social activist and staunch Arya Samajist edicated social activist and staunch Arya Samajist. The College is running through Maharishi Dayanand Educational Society – A beacon light for spreading of education in Faridabad. The College has become the pride in the field of girls’ education. The college promotes inter-disciplinary higher education in the faculties of Arts, Science (B.Sc. Medical, Non-Medical, Home Science and Biotech) and Commerce and Management. To match up with the aspirations of girl students, college introduced various courses viz, M.Com, M.A. (Eco), M.Sc (Computer Sci.), M.A. (Pol. Sci.), M.Sc. (Chemistry), M.Sc. (Mathematics), B.Com (C.A), B.Com (H), B.B.A, B.C.A. College believes in quality culture and discipline and takes initiatives to inculcate the same in the students. College advocates skill building and stimulates their students to enhance their employability skills. College runs various Add-On Courses, i.e., Fashion Designing, Early Child Care & Education, Accounting on Computer and 3 NSDC Courses to provide platform for the enrichment of the students. Within the sprawling campus of 5.5 acre land, college has lush green playground, Botanical Garden, Basket Ball and Volley Ball Court, Cricket Pitch, Yoga and Judo Room, Common Room, Auditorium, Canteen and Seminar Hall. The College library has treasure of knowledge which gives valuable learning experience to its students. The library has both physical as well as electronic resources for the access of its students. There are 10 well equipped computer labs and 12 smart classrooms. Besides these, College has 13 other labs i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biotech, Home-Science, Music, English Language Lab etc. Our students have always magnified our glory in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. Every year our students secure merit position in the university merit list and have also won numerous trophies in various Inter-College, District-Level, State-Level, and National-Level tournaments.
