J S Āyurveda Mahāvidyālaya (JSAM) was established in 1938, by the Vaidya Sundarlal Joshi with the patriotic feeling and by the inspiration of Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The institute was a grant-in-aid institute earlier. In 2007, our managing t-in-aid institute earlier. In 2007, our managing organization the Mahagujarat Medical Society (MMS) realized the potential of the institute and to get a free hand in developmental decisions and became self-financed. This enabled the institute to work independently toward one goal in unison and that is to develop professionally and to progress in the field of Āyurveda education, research and health care system. Since then the college and hospital have made significant progress in education and patient care. Globalization of Ayurveda is now undisputed fact and the western world is now looking towards it as a ray of hope and well being because along with curative medicines, Ayurveda speaks of preventive aspects in same volume. J.S. AYURVEDA MAHAVIDYALAYA and P.D. PATEL AYURVEDA HOSPITAL, NADIAD Ayurveda education is undergoing a phenomenal change in this millennium, keeping in tune to the ever growing needs of better Vaidhyas and health seekers. With the state of art infrastructure and skilled teaching staff, J.S. AYURVEDA MAHAVIDYALAYA and P.D. PATEL AYURVEDA HOSPITAL, NADIAD is focusing to impart quality education with complete knowledge in all aspects and enhance clinical skills to mould students as best Ayurveda professionals. We aim to improve the teaching and learning process and ultimately develop the institute as a centre of excellence. To become dynamic leading institute of Ayurveda and centre of Excellence in education, research and health care. To create healthy community by proliferating Ayurvedic system of medicine. To nurture the knowledge of Ayurveda through evidence based education and health care practices. To build up strong belief among students and community for Ayurveda practices. To conduct extensive training programme for advancement of students and institutional personnel. To enhance essential skills and social values of students by introducing outreach programmes. To promote global awareness of Indian legacy – Ayurveda To transform young talent into skilled Ayurveda practitioner by providing high quality education.
