JG College of Physiotherapy was incepted in 2008, with a commitment to support the students to become responsible professionals. We began our journey with Bachelor programme in 2008 and then added a next milestone by the commencement of the PG progra ext milestone by the commencement of the PG programme in year 2013. JG College of Physiotherapy is affiliated to Gujarat University and approved by the Gujarat State Council for Physiotherapy. Further it is also recognized by The Indian Association of Physiotherapy. Graduates are eligible to apply for membership of the Gujarat State Council for Physiotherapy and the Indian Association of Physiotherapy at the end of the Completion of the Physiotherapy degree. The college has always maintained a high academic standard, experienced and dynamic faculty, state-of –art infrastructure and attachments with best medical professionals’ and hospitals. We place a strong emphasis on student centered learning. Learning is promoted through a wide variety of activities that enable students to become autonomous and continuous learners. Interactive lectures, practical and clinical skills group work, simulation, directed study, role play, problem based learning, small group work, and student-led seminars, collaborative project work and interactive tutorials are key learning strategies of the programmes. Particular strengths of the any physiotherapy course includes the breadth of clinical experiences available throughout. In order to comply with the requirements, the college has taken attachments with various reputed hospitals and clinics across Ahmedabad for a rich and rewarding clinical experience for the students. Growth in every sphere of activity is important for the overall development of students. We encourage budding talents to achieve success in sports and various other extra-curricular activities. Competitive and interactive sessions are organized to enhance their intellectuality and leadership in personalized developments. The ultimate goal of JG College of physiotherapy is to prepare future Physiotherapists, who are excellent clinical analysers, admirable team workers and life long learners to practice as excellent therapists in a variety of health care delivery systems such as primary, secondary and tertiary systems.
