We introduce ourselves as Jayvantrai Harrai Desai Polytechnic situated on Palsana – Baleshwar Road, Palsana, Dist. Surat (Gujarat). The Institute was established in 2011 by Dr. Saurabh J. Desai Charitable Trust. The Institute is approved by All Ind itable Trust. The Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi & affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU), Ahmedabad. The Institute has well established Central Library, Central Computer Centre and state of art Laboratories. The institute imparts sound technical education to the students to make them competent in changing technological era. The basic philosophy of the institute is to focus on fulfilling the current & future requirements of technocrats to local & surrounding industries. To be a center of excellence in outcome based technical education by using cutting edge technology that produces competent engineers of today and tomorrow to serve the society. To impart outcome based quality education by implementing state of- the-art teaching learning methods to enrich the academic competency, credibility and integrity of the students. To facilitate a conducive ambience and infrastructure to develop professional skills and nurture an innovation in students. To inculcate sensitivity towards society, respect for environment and promote high standards of ethics. Smt. Sumatiben R. Bhatt education campus is situated in town palsana which is in center from surat and navsari. The campus is situated in a calm, clean and lush green environment. The campus has three different educational institutes to cater all the requirements of basics to advanced education. Library is the source to increase your knowledge power. Library is the most effective part of engineering education. At our college the library facilitates learning printed media such as Standard Textbooks, Reference books, Magazines. The library is spread across 326 square meter area. The institute is equipped with a central workshop that impart practical knowledge on machining, fitting, carpentry, welding, smithy, tin smithy,and foundry. It is equipped with all gear lathes, conventional lathes as well as woodworking lathes. Machine shop is also equipped with a Shaper, surface grinding machine, universal milling machines etc. A hand on practice is given to the students on all these machines. Carpet area of 200 sqm is provided. The Institute has built a spacious canteen to cater to the needs of students and faculties. The canteen provides hygienic food to students at an affordable rate. The facility is properly equipped with all necessary kitchen equipment and serves the fresh snacks, meal, chilled beverages and ice-creams. We have our own fleet of buses, which punctually bring students from different corners of the surat city to our campus. We have an adequate number of well maintained buses.
