The Institute of Science was established in 1956 to propagate scientific attitude amongst the younger generation of our society by Shri. Neelkanth Chintaman Joshi (M.Sc., M.A.) is a well known educationist, who has spent his entire carrier in the fie onist, who has spent his entire carrier in the field of education. He is closely associated with the Pune University for last more than four decades Dean of the Science faculty, member of senate, and member of academic council for a long time. He is sharing his knowledge and administrative skills by giving consultation in the field of education and number of institute and NGO’s have benefited from his guidance He has also given guidance to open educational institutes in rural part of Maharashtra. He is a Freedom Fighter, Mr. N.C.Joshi has taken part in freedom moment as well as “GOA Mukti Sangram”. Apart from his academic activities he was also very much interested in various games specially “Kabaddi”. He visited SEOL Olympic Games as a official member of Indian contingent. Higher education plays a vital role in the development of any nation. Therefore there is a premium on both quantity and quality of higher education.
