Education plays a crucial role in unlocking one’s complete potential, fostering a society that is fair and equitable, and driving overall progress. Ensuring universal access to high-quality education is crucial for India’s ongoing progress and ion is crucial for India’s ongoing progress and its position as a global leader in economic growth, scientific advancements, national unity, social equality, and cultural heritage. An effective approach to harnessing our nation’s abundant talents and resources for the betterment of individuals, society, the nation, and the world is by implementing universally accessible, top-notch education. India adopted Goal 4 (SDG4) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in 2015. This initiative aligns with the global education development goal and strives to achieve universal access to quality education and lifelong learning opportunities by 2030. In order to achieve a demanding objective and all the important aims and goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the National Education Policy 2020 was formulated. To create a new system that aligns with the goals of 21st century education, including SDG4, and builds on India’s traditions and value systems, this Policy suggests revising and revamping all aspects of the educational structure, including its regulation and governance. The University is providing a three-month online Basic Hindi Awareness programme for foreign nationals in nine countries, namely Thailand, China, Mauritius, Indonesia, Vietnam, Iran, Taiwan, the Philippines, and Romania. This programme is being offered in partnership with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and the Central Hindi Directorate (CHD). In a recent development IGNOU and the Open University of Kenya (OUK) has entered into a strategic partnership and has signed a MoU .
