About Indian Pharmacy Graduation Association (IPGA)
The Indian Pharmacy Graduates’ Association (IPGA) is a premier national-level professional body that represents pharmacy graduates across India. Established in 1973, IPGA has grown into a respected organization dedicated to the advancement and reco organization dedicated to the advancement and recognition of the pharmacy profession. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, and is one of the core constituent bodies of the Indian Pharmaceutical Congress Association. The primary objective of IPGA is to promote the welfare, professional development, and academic excellence of pharmacy graduates. It strives to enhance the image of pharmacists in society and to support their rightful role in the healthcare system. The association works to strengthen pharmacy education, encourage ethical practices, and bridge the gap between academic training and professional requirements. IPGA actively organizes national and regional conferences, scientific seminars, workshops, and continuing education programs for its members. It publishes a quarterly newsletter, “IPGA Today,” which shares updates, scientific articles, and news from its various branches. The association also supports initiatives like the IPGA Student Forum, IPGA Women’s Forum, and the IPGA Welfare Trust, which aim to support students, empower women in pharmacy, and promote community welfare. With over 10,000 life members and 21+ state branches, IPGA has built a strong network of professionals and academic leaders. It plays a key role in policymaking, collaborates with regulatory bodies, and participates in public health campaigns, such as promoting awareness about responsible antibiotic use. IPGA is recognized as a charitable nonprofit organization and is eligible for tax exemptions under Indian law.
