About Indian Society for Heat and Mass Transfer (ISHMT)

"Indian Society for Heat and Mass Transfer (ISHMT)" is an All India registered body under "The Tamilnadu Society Registration Act, XXI OF 1860". The society was first registered in 1974 and re-registered in July 2022, its registration number is S. No red in July 2022, its registration number is S. No SRG/Chennai South/319/2022. The registered office of the Society shall be located at the Heat Transfer and Thermal Power Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai – 600 036, India. To promote the science and technology of heat and mass transfer. To provide a common forum for industrialists, technologists, scientists and others to meet and to foster the advancement of the science and applications of heat and mass transfer. To organize and conduct activities of interest to the members such as holding of meetings, arranging of lectures and so on. To disseminate scientific and technical information of interest to the members through publication of periodicals, reports and so on and proceedings of conferences. To collaborate with other bodies (in India and abroad) pursuing similar aims and objectives.
