Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Department As per Government Order No: DPAR 164 SAS 2016, dated: 24-09-2016 The Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood was created in 2016 to bring all skil d Livelihood was created in 2016 to bring all skill development activities under one Umbrella to promote the development of the youth of the State, better growth of working hands and inclusion of Socially inclusive groups. As per Karnataka Government (Allocation of Business) Rules 1977 Amendment No: DPAR 04 ARB 2016, dated: 07-09-2017 all below mentioned Departments / Institutions providing Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood training programs in various Departments in the State are allocated to this Department. All Industrial Training Institutions (ITIs), Employment Exchanges, Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC) and Mokshagundam Master Training Institute are handed over by Labour Department and currently are working under Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood as: Industrial Training and Employment. Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC). Mokshagundam Master Training Institute. Government Tool Room and Training Centre (GTTC), Karnataka German Technical Training Institute (KGTTI) and Centre for Entrepreneurship Development of Karnataka (CEDOK) are transferred from Commerce and Industry Department and currently are working under Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood as: Government Tool Room and Training Centre (GTTC). Karnataka German Technical Training Institute (KGTTI). Centre for Entrepreneurship Development of Karnataka (CEDOK). National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) is transferred from Rural Development Department and currently is working under Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood as: National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM). National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM) is transferred from Urban Development Department and currently is working under Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood as: National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM). Welcome to Skill Development Department Skill Development Training have assumed importance for utilizing the state’s available human resource in the state and to create better employment opportunities. Industrial Training and Employment Department Industrial Training and Employment Commissionerate Karnataka Germon Technical Training Insitute Skill Mission Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Commissionerate Sanjeevini-Karnataka State Rural Promotion Society(KSRLPS) Deendayal Antyodaya –National Urban Livelihood Mission(DAY_NULM) Centre for Entrepreneurship Development of Karnataka (CEDOK) Karnataka Skill Development Authority(KSDA) Karnatka Centre for Entrepreneurship Development of Karnataka (CEDOK) 5.Government Tool Room and Training Centre(GTTC) Karnataka Skill Development Authority The Department of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood is set up to give the Karnataka Skills Development Authority a central role in skill certification Assesment and quality. Department of Industrial Training and Employment : The Department of Employment and Training deals with the implementation of programs relating to Employment Service, Craftsmen Training and Apprenticeship Training Schemes, in accordance with the standards and norms prescribed by Directorate General of Training (DGT), Government of India, New Delhi. There are 270 Government ITIs, 192 Grant-in-Aid ITIs, 1030 Non- Grant-in-Aid ITIs are working in the State and 3 ITIs are functioning under SCVT in the state.
