Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Kozhikode was the first Graduate Homoeopathic Medical College in Asia. It is affiliated with the KERALA UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES and recognized by CCH .It was affiliated with the University of Calicut til was affiliated with the University of Calicut till 2010. The College includes an on-site hospital. The college was founded in 1976 acquiring a mansion that belonged to the manager of the Pearce Leslie Cashew Factory during the British Raj at Karaparamba, Kozhikode. The college has hostel facilities for both me and women (only for regular courses). Hostel accommodation is provided in separate buildings both men and women. Students should live in the hostels unless exempted by the principal on the ground that they are living with their parents or guardians. Those who violate the rules and regulations of Hostel will be expelled from the HOSTEL. The college has well equipped library with an e-learning center. The library has a collection of about 10000 medical books and many periodicals which will help for the curriculum. It has a well-equipped calm environmental reading room. E-learning Center is the facility equipped in library for the students to use internet for their academic needs.
