Girish Prasad Memorial College is most centrally located in the Civil Lines of Bareilly, the birth place of Paramhans Yoga Nand and "Karam Bhoomi" of innumerable freedom fighters. Late Pt. Dwarka Prasad, MLA, a close associate of Jawahar Lal Nehru an ad, MLA, a close associate of Jawahar Lal Nehru and Govind Ballabh Pant, under the leadership of Gandhiji, organised the freedom movement in Rohilkhand Division from here. The School started in the main Bungalow of Pt. Dwarka Prasad in 1973. The school is affiliated to the COUNCIL FOR THE INDIAN SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAMINATIONS, New Delhi.
