Fiscal capacities of the States and Panchayats were examined. Regional trade agreements were studied. In continuation with the Institute’s past experience on fiscal and financial measures, Institute proposes to focus on the responsiveness of Indian proposes to focus on the responsiveness of Indian states to pressures of fiscal consolidation and economic slowdown. In the rapidly changing global scenario, the Institute has maintained its tradition on working for the socio-economic development of the country. Its work is highly responsive to the changing societal needs.By incorporating the emerging dimensions of development and economic growth, and integrating it with its past experiences, theories and practices, the Institute’s efforts would continue to play an important role in shaping the ongoing changes into an ordered equitable process.The Institute also focuses on comparative studies and international collaboration in different issues to share the Findings of its own research and gain knowledge and experience of other countries in this global changing scenario. ...view more
