Students under Faculty of Law aren't just taught the tenets of the law, they are taught to lead the world. The ability to make decisions based on facts and reasoning, rather than emotions is an integral part to success in the legal world and holds ev al part to success in the legal world and holds even more value out of the court room. A great lawyer has the ability to make the hard choices putting the interests of his client first. Over the past few years, the Faculty has made significant progress in terms of restructuring of courses and syllabi, introducing new courses, experimenting with innovative techniques of imparting legal education and strengthening its clinical programme in order to give due emphasis to the expanding horizons of the legal profession. The students have also been participating in Moot Courts and other literary and debating activities. The students of our Faculty are provided with all the necessary facilities to develop their curricular and co-curricular abilities, besides focusing on an overall personality development so as to face the challenges in the competitive world today. The Faculty of Law organizes Moot Courts within the class rooms, Intra Class Moot Court Competitions and National Moot Court Competitions. A law degree opens up a wide range of career opportunities in a myriad of fields. Studying law develops one's understanding of the levers of power in our society in a way that is even more effective than that of political science. Law graduates, including former lawyers, have ended up working in a variety of fields, including politics, journalism, human resources, business and marketing. Studying law offers a wonderful intellectual challenge in that it develops the ability to argue from a basis of evidence in a way which can be very hard for non-lawyers to counter. Studying law will equip you with intellectual skills which will give you a decisive advantage in whichever profession you choose. Law degree allows a person who has a strong sense of justice to see where there are defects in the system and to work constructively and effectively to change it. In this sense, studying law offers the idealistic person a realistic way to make a difference in the world. Kalinga University has an IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) Cell and a Legal Aid clinic under the purview of which it conducts various activities . Several events are conducted here from time to time aiming at giving a platform to students to demonstrate their skills and to learn by doing and also serving the society at the same time. Kalinga University provides promising internship opportunities and industrial visits to it students to ensure students gain practical knowledge. For law graduates, the University conducts coaching classes for preparation of Judicial services. ...view more
