ESIS General Hospital (known as T.B. Hospital) was taken over by ESI Corporation on 1st April, 2010 and has renamed as ESIC General Hospital with 100 sanctioned beds & 50 commission beds strength. The hospital is located in the out skirts of Ahmedaba hospital is located in the out skirts of Ahmedabad city on Himmatnagar highway and surrounded by GIDC & other industrial areas. The main industries are: Reliance, Ruby- Vehicle body builder, Pepsi, Parle. Perry, Disman pharma, Ingersoll Rand manufacturer – Air compressor & other industries. The hospital can cater the medical benefits to IP’s & their families registered with 10 dispensaries within a radius of 8-9 km’s & 4 branch offices namely Naroda Industrial B.O. GIDC, B.O. Naroda Road, Odhav B.O. & Vatva B.O. However, this is not a fixed rule and therefore any IP can visit this hospital irrespective of his being connected to B.O. or dispensary. Total IPs attached to this hospital is approx. 75,000.
