DIET Patan (District Institute of Education and Training, Patan)

In Gujarat State, Educational Training and Research works have been done by GCERT, Gandhinagar with the help, guidance and support of NCERT, New Delhi. GCERT, Gandhinagar has established District Institute of Education and Training in each district o itute of Education and Training in each district of Gujarat State for the same. Here in this District, Since 1994, Sarkari Buniyadi Stree Adhyapan Mandir has been upgraded in to DIET, following the Gujarat Government circuler No. JSBh-1294-01-01, 04th Feb. 1994.To overcome the need of infrastructural facilities, especially like office building of DIET-Patan, 6.5 Acres land was alloted in the campus of Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan. To make primary education all extensive at the District level. To undertake action research to improve the quality of primary education. To provide training to primary school Head Masters, teachers, observers and main volunteers of Anganwadis and Balwadis. To organize various training programmes for primary school teachers and to prepare self made educational tools. To provide training to BRC and CRC co-coordinators belonging of the district. To arrange for progressive development of BRC and CRC The NPE (National Policy on Education) 1986 is given much importance to universlize the Primary Education of Indian Educational System and to provide free and compulsory education to all the children up to 14 year old. Until the adaption of NPE 1986, the Elementary Education was being helped largly at the National and State levels only by the institutions like NCERT, NUEPA and SCERT. So promote the Primary Education DIETs are established with the special aim of improving the Primary Education through Pre-service and Inservice trainings as mentionad in the NPE (National Policy on Education). ...view more
