The Department of Food Technology was established in the year 2006 and is equipped with modern infrastructure, state of art laboratories, and well qualified resource personnel. The Department of Food Technology aims to provide students with basic and Technology aims to provide students with basic and advanced knowledge of food technology to acquaint them with the practical applications of the subject. Faculties of the Department are involved in high quality research and publications in reputed journals. Many projects have been initiated and carried out in the department, which are funded by Central government agencies like DBT, UGC, MOFPI, DST, MHRD, and SERB. As part of imparting practical knowledge to the students, industry visits that form a curricular component, are organized that widen their horizon of thinking and upgrade their skills.
