Department of English is the oldest department in Nabira Mahavidyalaya, Katol established in the year of 1961 for B.A and started M.A in 2008. The Department of English aims to strive for student’s success to help them achieve excellence in their c success to help them achieve excellence in their chosen field. It also encourages the students to participate in a research-based activity and tries to inculcate in them Civic, Democratic and Secular values so that they come out as responsible citizens of tomorrow. Department also organizes various students centric activities. Shikshan Prasarak Mandal (SPM) was founded in the year 1960 with generous donation from Shree Bhikulalji Nabira so as to spread higher education in this area as it lacked the facility of higher education.
