Crescent Medical Centre was founed in 1993 with the aim of promoting excellence in Healthcare and improving health awareness and education among the people living in and around Alathur. Considering the need of the locality to have a Nursing College t e need of the locality to have a Nursing College that can keep up high standards in the Nursing profession, with its long and varied experience in establishing and administering Crescent Hospital and school of Nursing, Crescent Medical Centre Ltd. Decided to set up a Nursing College under its Management. With the available Infra structure facilities, it is able to provide advanced knowledge and degree level with ample clinical experience to the Nursing Students. The Crescent Medical Centre (CMC) ventured into Education Field in the Year 2001 by establishing Crescent School of Nursing. Crescent Medical Centre is the pioneer in bringing in modern Healthcare Facilities to Alathur, a backward area of Palakkad District. CMC announced its presence in Health Care arena in 1997 by commencing a Multispeciality Hospital at Alathur. Crescent College of Nursing was inaugurated on 2nd of January 2006. The Crescent College of Nursing constitutes a glaring example of the well planned and efficiently executed service oriented schemes of Crescent Medical Centre Ltd. The College of Nursing has helped in creating awareness among the general public about the necessity for quality nursing education. Crescent College of Nursing is a Recognized Institution where 50% of seats are reserved as Government Quota and the remaining 50% Management Quota is filled up as per the fees and regulations from Government of Kerala. The Crescent College of Nursing offers the 4-year Bsc. Nursing course recognized by the Indian Nursing council and Kerala Nursing Council. The institution is an affiliate of Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur. With an annual intake of 50 students, who are from various parts of Kerala, the College has all the facilities like Labs, Library and Hostel for students as per stipulations of Kerala Nursing council and Indian Nursing Council. Well-qualified and experienced principal and teaching staff are employed to impart training at the College. The professional and academic standards of the Crescent College of Nursing is noteworthy.
