Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University (SDAU), with its understated vision of creating and promoting institute of excellence dedicated to create skilled professionals who can serve the community and the country, started an unique Coll community and the country, started an unique College of Renewable Energy and Environmental Engineering under the ambit of faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology during academic year 2009-10, vide Government of Gujarat, Krushi & Sahakar Vibhag, approval order no. SKV/122010-400/k.2/ sachivalay, Gandhinagar dated 10/06/2009-2010. This four year under graduate degree programme is a revolutionary approach in combining the disciplines of Renewable Energy and Environmental Engineering. A comprehensive updated course curriculum equipped with practical & theoretical knowledge has been designed for the 4 year B.Tech. degree programme to produce high caliber engineering students who will not only serve the industries but also the R&D sectors of renewable energy and environmental engineering. M. Tech. and Ph. D. Degree Programmes were initiated with the establishment of the college of Renewable Energy & Environmental Engineering in academic year 2009-10. The M. Tech. and Ph. D. Degree Programmes run under the faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology housed in the college of Renewable Energy and Environmental Engineering, located in main campus of the University. It is spread in about two hectare area including academic block, energy park, faculty chambers, administrative branch, garden and play ground etc. To generate high quality engineering manpower with cutting edge research &innovative technology in the sectorof renewable energy and environmental engineering to bring sustainable transformation in the lives of all living being through the judicious use of renewable energy resources. To produce creative, innovative and technically sound engineers; and to research amicably pioneering solutions to local challenges in particular and global challenges in general pertaining to renewable energy and environmental engineering.
