Through the Architecture and Interior Design programme, COA SVIT, Vasad endeavours to inculcate in it’s students multi-dimensional sensitivity towards the attributes and issues of contemporary society Since it’s inception in 2000, the institution has been contributing actively in the field of architecture, training and encouraging future architects to understand value and comprehend their role- as space makers, designers and responsible citizens. The various programmes designed to foster thirst for knowledge; encouraging students to not only follow a conventional method of learning, but also experiment with the boundless creative facts of Architecture and Interior Design. These programmes constantly undergo academic revisions and innovations, in order to keep pace with the rapid changes taking place in practise. Architecture and Design is language of expression within space, product and landscape, through critically analysing the needs – necessity of the user, it’s function and emerging form. It’s an ever-evolving profession. We expose students to hand’s on activities, field trips, RSP’s (national and international) apart from the regular academic curriculum. To create an innovative platform for the study of human habitat through multidimensional lenses addressing the four pillars of our pedagogy, namely - Urbanism, Technology, History & Environment. We seek to involve and engage students of architecture to be responsive to the natural, technological, cultural, and social environments through the systematic development of an aesthetic attitude, a technical confidence, and critical thinking through the following factor. By offering a diverse, interdisciplinary and rigorous curriculum in a clever mix of comprehensive studio and outdoor environment by engaging with citizens' groups, local community organizations, the private sector, and the profession toward the improvement of the built environment. By providing opportunities to challenge students to develop their abilities in problem solving, creative thinking, and informed decision-making as a focus of their professional education and thereby to nurture a student-centred environment for personal development and professional excellence.
