To meet the ever field of emerging area of Agriculture Engineering And Technology, NavsariAgricultural University (NAU), Navsari has established College Of Agricuktural Engineering in 2013 with the approval of All India Council For Technical Educatio proval of All India Council For Technical Education(AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt. Of India. College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology was established under Vanbandhu Kalyan scheme by Government of Gujarat in tribal, rural and forest area of Narmada district in 2012. The College has the mandate for conducting strategic research on design and development of technologies/equipments in the area of Farm Machinery & Power, Processing and Food Engineering, Soil and Water Engineering and Renewable Energy Engineering with extension of technologies to farmers and entrepreneurs. The college is located at Parsi Tekra, Dediapada, 72 km east from Ankleshwar railway station and 45 km south from Rajpipala. There are Six departments working on Renewable energy engineering, Soil and water conservation Engineering, Processing and Food Engineering, Farm Power Engineering, Irrigation and drainage engineering and Basic Engineering and Applied Sciences and there by carrying out various activities of education, research and extension. CAET's mandate is to produce potential engineers, professionals, scientists, entrepreneurs, skilled graduates, postgraduates who are the guiding force for the welfare of farmers directly or indirectly. The faculty of the college play crucial role in training Programme of farmers, rural youth, extension workers of T&V Programme and different cadres of Govt. staff in the agriculture and allied sector. The college is also engaged in extending the advisory services to the farmers analysis of the soil samples, advisory in irrigation and advisory to improve farm income and through agricultural fairs, farmers' days and Krushi mahotsav Programmes besides trainings to the Govt. officials, officers of line department besides field functionaries and farm visits. Agricultural Engineering is very important pillar of agricultural sector and plays a significant role in the overall socio-economic fabric of India. Peerage of building of the success of agriculture in India is quality education and research contributed by central and state Agricultural Universities and institutes. There are four agricultural universities in Gujarat to cater the problems of farming communities; Navsari Agricultural University is one of them as per topographic and climatic diversity.
