The College of Nursing has a strong infrastructure in terms of personnel, with 99 faculty in different nursing departments. The faculty, distributed across the various departments of the College of Nursing, function through a model of integration, wh rsing, function through a model of integration, where they have a dual responsibility for education, clinical practice and service. The pioneering concept – the hallmark of the College – is its model of integration of education and service that was initiated in 1968. The M.Sc Nursing faculty are actively involved in the clinical areas of the hospital as Nurse Managers. In this capacity, they formulate nursing care protocols, prepare standardized nursing care plans, ensure the availability of teaching & clinical resources for student learning, participate in clinical research, support the competence development of staff nurses, and supervise the provision of quality care to patients by ensuring adherence to the unit policies, procedures, and protocols. Simultaneously, they also fulfil the teaching responsibilities at the College, thus incorporating the immense practical knowledge absorbed in the clinical areas into their classes.
