About CIPET : School For Advanced Research In Petrochemicals (SARP), Bhubaneswar(CIPET: SARP-LARPM, Bhubaneswar)
Located in Bhubaneshwar, the center focuses on Bio polymers, E Waste Recycling, Polymer Composites, Nano composites, Characterization of Blends, Alloys, Solar Cells, Bio-sensors, Medical Diagnostic Tools and Energy Generation as well as Storage Devic ols and Energy Generation as well as Storage Devices. CIPET: IPT - Bhubaneswar offers the UG/PG programmes in the area of science and engineering. In the inception, the Post Graduate (PG) programme M.Tech. in Plastics Engineering has been offered to the students from the year 2003 with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and in affiliation with Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela, Odisha. Subsequently the other UG / PG programmes i.e. B.Tech. in Plastics Engineering (2008), M.Tech. in Polymer Nanotechnology (2009), B.Tech. in Manufacturing Engineering & Technology (2010) has been offered with the approval of AICTE and as well as in affiliation with BPUT, Rourkela. Recently CIPET:IPT-Bhubaneswar is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for its ongoing B.Tech. programmes i.e. B.Tech. in Plastics Engineering and B.Tech. in Manufacturing Engineering & Technology. In addition to the above courses, CIPET: IPT - Bhubaneswar is offering 5-years Integrated M.Sc. (B.Sc. + M.Sc.) in Material Science and Engineering since 2010 and 2 years M.Sc. in Polymer Science since 2013. In the current academic year 2020-21 the 5-years Integrated M.Sc. (B.Sc. + M.Sc.) in Polymer Science and MS by Research in Polymer Science and Engineering are introduced. All the said courses are also affiliated with Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela. The above courses are providing the suitable opportunities to the students for their career development and job prosperity in the top notch institutes and reputed plastics and allied industries.
