CIPET: Institute of Petrochemicals Technology (IPT) at Patia, Bhubaneswar was established in 1986 with an objective to provide quality education and specialized skill up-gradation training and to provide technology support services to Plastics and al ide technology support services to Plastics and allied industries in Odisha. Skill & Knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development. Countries with higher & better levels of skills adjust more effectively to the challenges and opportunities of globalisation. The shortage of skilled labour across many industries is emerging as a significant and complex challenge to India's future growth. The demand for skilled individuals in both private as well as the public sector in India is growing exponentially in this era of economic growth and investment. There is a growing need to increase employability through skill development programmes as evidenced by strong market linkages, institute industry coordination, specialized skill development, continuous learning, etc. The National Policy on Skill Development formulated by the Government of India aims to create a workforce empowered with improved skills, knowledge and internationally recognized qualifications to gain access to decent employment and ensure India's competitiveness in the dynamic Global Labour market. In this direction, CIPET:IPT, Bhubaneswar Centre conducts specialized training programs such as Laboratory Quality Management System & Internal Audit as per ISO/IEC-17025-2017 Uncertainty in Measurements for the personnel working in the testing and Research laboratories Training facilities in the CAD/CAM/CAE area viz. CAD using CATIA, CREO & NX, CAM using Master CAM Various Placement Linked Skill Development training programs, aligned with National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) are being conducted with the support of Central Govt., State Govt., PSUs namely NSFDC, NSKFDC, NBCFDC, DDU-GHY, OSFDC, PPT, ECL etc. These training programs are in the areas of: Product Development / Processing of Plastics Testing and Quality Improvement Design / Tooling / CNC Operation & Programing Every year about 3000 students are being trained in both long term academic programmes and short term courses National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF): The National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) is a quality assurance framework that organizes all qualifications according to a series of levels of knowledge, skills and aptitude. These levels are graded from one to ten and facilitate mobility between vocational and general education by alignment of degrees.
