After the formation of Chhattisgarh state, Chhattisgarh Secondary Education Board (छत्तीसगढ़ माध्यमिक शिक्षा मण्डल) was constituted by the Chhattisgarh Government School Education Department not tisgarh Government School Education Department notification number F 10-5-/13/2001 Raipur 20-7-2001. The headquarter of the division is in the state capital Raipur. Four divisional offices are located in Bilaspur, Surguja, Jagdalpur and Rajnandgaon. The jurisdiction of the divisional office of Surguja is Surguja, Korea, Balrampur, Surajpur, Jashpur and Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur. The jurisdiction of Bilaspur divisional office is Bilaspur, Janjgir, Korba, Raigarh, Mungeli, Sakti and Sarangarh-Bilaigarh. The jurisdiction of Jagdalpur divisional office is Jagdalpur, Dantewada, Bijapur, Narayanpur, Sukma, Kondangaon and Kanker and the jurisdiction of Rajnandgaon divisional office is Balod, Bemetara, Durg, Kawardha, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh Chowki and Rajnandgaon districts.
