The Centre for Plasma Physics - Institute for Plasma Research (CPP-IPR) is a research centre at the Institute for Plasma Research (IPR) , Gandhinagar, Gujarat, an autonomous institute under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) , Government of Ind ment of Atomic Energy (DAE) , Government of India . The centre was started in 1991 with a small group of scientists as a project of the Government of Assam, and functioned as an autonomous institute under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Assam until May 29, 2009.
