Admittedly, empowering the learners with 21st Century Skills is a key objective of our tertiary education where English plays a decisive role as the language of wider communication. The Center for Language Studies (CLS), therefore, aims to generate t guage Studies (CLS), therefore, aims to generate the understanding of the opportunities and challenges of modern era by improving the quality of English language teaching and learning at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). Since its inception in September 2014, the Center has been inching forward with the primary goal of providing effective English language teaching to all students of ULAB. And CLS has been doing it through courses which focus on the needs of learners and on the processes which help students become suitably proficient in English to meet their academic and future professional requirements. An additional function of the CLS is to address the professional language needs of the staff and faculty members. The Center also emphasizes on enriching the research skills of its faculty members through symposiums-workshops-conferences on contemporary national and global issues related to English language teaching and learning. The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh and its curricula are accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh, and approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of People's Republic of Bangladesh. ...view more
