Center for Health and Gender Equity (CHANGE)

CHANGE is a U.S.-based non-profit organization that advances gender equality and human rights for women and girls and others who face stigma and discrimination by advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all. They do this by ele lth and rights (SRHR) for all. They do this by elevating the voices of those impacted by U.S. foreign policy in our research, advocacy, partnerships, and strategic communications. Their mission is to secure and protect sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all by elevating women's voices, driving the public conversation, and shaping U.S. global health and foreign policy. All women and girls — and others who are discriminated against such as sex workers and transgender persons — have the right to access quality health care services and information, free from discrimination, coercion, and violence. This includes: - Contraceptives - HIV prevention and treatment - Respectful maternal care - Abortion CHANGE knows that governments have a duty to respect, protect, and fulfill SRHR. So, they remain vigilant in their work to promote and secure SRHR in the United States and to prevent the United States from exporting policies overseas that are not based on evidence and do not advance human rights. To be successful, CHANGE takes risks and adopts new and innovative strategies, tactics, and creative activism to create a cultural and political shift in favor of SRHR and gender equality.
