About Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad (BSP)
Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad U.P. (BSP) was legally established under the guidance of jurist, eminent educationists and social workers for the development of education in wide areas. Government of Uttar Pradesh, registered the Parishad for propagation a Pradesh, registered the Parishad for propagation and development of distance education on the pattern of Open continuing & Distance Education System on 24 September 1984, vide file No. 7231 (M) and registration No. 821. Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad U.P. under SR Act 21-1860. The Parishad, under Government of India, is Legal Autonomous and non profit Institution and has legal right of teaching & training under the provision of constitution. Copies of Bylaws, prospectus, etc. are sent to the various Authorities and Departments of the Government of India/State Governments and Union Territories by the Parishad from time to time. The area of operation of the Parishad is wide and extensive all over India. Information centres of examination are situated in almost all-major cities of India where semester/annual examinations are normally organized every year in May/December. Parishad is planning to open study examination centres for foreigners and non-resident Indians in various parts of the world. Bhartiya Shiksha Parishad Uttar Pradesh is a non commercial voluntary social educational institution with the aims of expansion and promotion of education, publication of scare, unique and newly written literature, pay honour and due promotion to the educationists. These may be enumerated as below: To Democratise higher education by providing it to the students at their door step. To provide higher education to one and all, irrespective of age/sex/caste/ territory. To provide job-oriented and professional education. To promote and popularise education under Open & Distance Education system on the pattern of other countries. The option to select choice subjects and imbibe more education at lesser cost. Established in 1983 and officially registered on 24th September 1984, this pioneering institution was founded with the mission to promote the use and spread of Hindi across all Indian states while providing accessible, job-oriented education equivalent to traditional degree courses. It offers flexible learning modes including distance, part-time, and traditional education, and also encourages research work. Symbolized by the Map of India—once a symbol of zero and now a beacon of accessible education—it is recognized as the first institution to introduce correspondence courses in India. Founded by Dr. Vijay Aggarwal, a journalist, teacher, and social worker, the institution operates independently without any government grants. Inspired by global and national leaders like Herold Wilson and Rajiv Gandhi, it emphasizes inclusivity and affordability in education, offering scholarships and low fees. The institution publishes its own study materials and runs popular educational magazines such as BSP Student Morcha and Patrachar Shiksha Samachar. Courses range from secondary education to postgraduate, technical, vocational, and research programs, with exam centers spread across major cities and rural areas of India.
