To make Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as institute’s nodal agency and create networking with our institutions for quality assurance. 2. To develop effective teacher education programme keeping quality as main parameter in context of designing of syllabus and co-curricular activities in collaboration with parent university. 3. To organize teacher education programme comprising of all necessary skills required to be developed among the student-teachers for transaction for instructions and related school activities and responsibilities. 4. To stimulate the institutional academic environment to develop scientific temperament to use and promote advance teaching-learning technology and methods of teaching in classrooms. 5. To create awareness among pre-service student-teachers and in-service teachers and headmasters of schools by conducting training programmes and related researches to motivate them by making quality as defining element. A bright and promising future for every youth of this region who enter the threshold of this institution, by imparting qualitative education in the field of Education. To prepare competent, committed and responsible secondary and higher secondary school teachers striving towards excellence fostering multifarious quality teaching-learning in various school subjects. To provide society with competent men and women who have attributes of functional and social relevance, mental ability and physical dexterity, effectiveness and reliability, confidence and capacity to communicate effectively and capacity to exercise initiative, innovation and experiments with new situation. The college was started in 1968 as a joint faculty of Shri S.K. Shah & Shri Krishna O.M. Arts College under the dynamic leadership of Dr. D.P. Thakar veteran and versatile personality and a critic of Gujarati literature and chief editor of Gujarati Vishwakosh. In the year 1974 bifurcated from Arts College and got permanent affiliation as a single faculty college from Gujarat University. The college was included under 2(f) of the UGC Act in 1975 and receiving the UGC grant. Initially affiliation was granted for Ad Accounting & Auditing as a principal subject and secretarial practice as a subsidiary subject but cooperation added for elective optional subsidiary in 1978, further in 1985 statistics and in 1992 Computer in Business Application were started as a elective optional Subsidiary subjects. In 1987 P.G. Centre in Education & CTE was started to facilitate the rural students for studying P.G. Education in Ad Accounting subject. Thus the college has a glorious history of development. After the inception of North Gujarati University Patan, The affiliation transferred to new university. The college accredited by NAAC in 2007. The college is well equipped with sufficient infrastructure, having sports and gymkhana, library, laboratory, computer centre etc. which are incorporated for multidynamic development of students.
