Amity University provides for various good academic courses, among which Liberal Arts occupies a prominent place. What exactly are liberal arts? A good definition is given by the European Science foundation – the liberal arts are those subjects whi dation – the liberal arts are those subjects which examine and explain human beings. This includes a variety of ways – from understanding how minds work, to how societies as a whole function. It is one of the oldest disciplines in the world. It is an educational approach which enables an individual to prepare himself/herself for the practical life opportunities and challenges. It provides a wide range of subjects ranging from Political Science, Economics, History, and Philosophy to mention a few. At present, in Amity University, Undergraduate courses are being taught in Political Science, Economics, History and Philosophy and with many other new subjects are on agenda to be added like Sociology, Geography, etc. along with Masters in all disciplines to be introduced soon. As we have Honors courses, it provides a specialized knowledge and understanding to the students. Established in 2004, Amity School of Liberal Arts (ASLA) offers a rich set of contemporary liberal arts and social science courses covering a wide variety of disciplines including History, Political Science, Economics and Philosophy. In the Bachelor’s program in Liberal Arts you will examine global issues using insights from a range of social science disciplines, such as history, political science, economics, and philosophy. This interdisciplinary approach enables you to gain an in-depth understanding of complex global issues in contemporary society and to look for creative solutions. Language learning was once considered nothing more than a hobby, but as the world continues to become increasingly connected, learning a language other than English is considered a necessity. Advancing technologies have afforded us the ability to communicate no matter where we are in the world, amplifying the importance of foreign language study. The great thing about languages is that, other than being a form of communication, they also serve as a means of relating to others on a cultural level. In the same pace Amity University Rajasthan established School for language learning recognized as Amity School of Languages (ASL); it was established under Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Liberal Arts. Since its inception in 2007, Amity School of languages is dedicated to provide an international exposure to the students of all walks of life at Amity University Rajasthan, Jaipur. To establish a transformative impact on society through incessant innovation in education, research and creativity. Promotes the university's mission to encourage freedom of inquiry, the pursuit of truth and care for others through teaching, scholarship and service of the highest calibre. In keeping with the mission of Amity University Rajasthan the school grooms the students of the University as global citizens. Amity School of Languages prides itself to provide a major support to all other vibrant institutions of AUR by teaching one international language to their students. Endeavors to create a space through various language activities contributing to the over-all growth of AUR students. Maintains High Ethical Values and Foster Social & Environmental Responsibility. Establishes International Collaborations with reputed Universities & Industries Builds strong Alumni Network. In addition to conducting regular classes for the offered courses, Institution also provides regular classes of Foreign Languages to all the departments of AUR, with an option to choose either French/Spanish/German/Chinese. The Institute organizes separate classes for Behavioral Sciences, Business Communication and Personality Development, as separate subjects in each semester through separate specialized faculty members and a Certificate is issued to each student after successful completion of these subjects along with the degree program. Nonetheless, ASL offers evening classes of Foreign Language Learning to the students Institution has highly qualified and skilled faculty members with vast industrial and academic experience to prepare students as per requirements and standards of language learning and teaching. ASL actively provides maximum industry interface through organizing regular guest lectures, workshops, seminars, conferences. These opportunities and platforms provide maximum industrial exposure to students created by the Institution through signing MoUs. Institution also provides hands-on training to students by giving them an opportunity to learn after their classes; special evening classes are being arranged for interested ones. The Industry Advisory Board (IAB) assures placement of the students in reputed related companies. The alumni of the institution are positively engaged in various academics and corporate sectors.
