Amity Institute of Environmental Science (AIES) is an interdisciplinary Centre of learning with objective to excel in the field of Environmental Science and Technology, established as a part of Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida. Environment plays University Uttar Pradesh, Noida. Environment plays a vital role in the well-being and prosperity of our planet and its inhabitants. Recognizing this, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) have emerged as a comprehensive framework to address the urgent environmental challenges we face today. The SDGs encompass a range of goals and targets aimed at achieving sustainable development in an inclusive and holistic manner. This involves promoting sustainable practices that minimize waste generation, reduce pollution, and conserve natural resources. By preserving these natural habitats and their biodiversity, we safeguard essential ecosystem services, such as clean air and water, climate regulation, and the provision of food and resources. Investing in ecosystem restoration and conservation not only benefits the environment but also supports livelihoods and enhances resilience to climate change. The institute intends to impart special training to students who can handle the emerging various environmental problems faced by industries and the societies on the technological and environmental fronts. The academic programmes of the institute are reviewed / revised periodically and updated, keeping in mind the need for the changes desired in curriculum like new courses or upgrading of individual courses or introduction of specific programmes. The Institute also offers Ph.D. programme in research related to Environmental Sciences and Technology. Faculty members of the institute are from diverse fields of specialization ranging from Environmental Engineering, Environmental Biotechnology, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Microbial Ecology, Environmental Toxicology, Environmental Chemistry, Immunodiagnostics for pollutant/pesticides, Energy and Environmental Management, Environmental Modeling and Management to Sustainable Development in environment.
