About American Physiological Society (APS)
Founded in 1887, the American Physiological Society is a global leader in expanding knowledge related to biological function. We connect a multidisciplinary community of nearly 10,000 scientists and educators from around the world, driving collaborat ducators from around the world, driving collaboration and spotlighting scientific discoveries in physiology and related disciplines. Our members are advancing treatments and cures for everything from cancer and heart disease, to obesity and addiction. They are also deepening our insight into living organisms generally, helping us to better understand how things like climate change are affecting the world around us. The American Physiological Society (APS) publishes journals and books that cover many areas within the field of physiology. We have 16 respected scientific journals that advance physiological research, which is crucial for many biomedical breakthroughs. Distinguished and Peer-Reviewed: Our journals are recognized for their quality and rigorous peer-review process. Comprehensive Coverage: Our journals explore physiological systems at all levels, from cellular and molecular to organs and systems. Serving Multiple Audiences: Our journals are considered valuable resources for research investigators, educators, and information specialists. Self-Published Journals (Solely Published by APS): American Journal of Physiology-Cell Physiology American Journal of Physiology-Endocrinology and Metabolism American Journal of Physiology-Gastrointestinal and Liver Physiology American Journal of Physiology-Heart and Circulatory Physiology American Journal of Physiology-Lung Cellular and Molecular Physiology American Journal of Physiology-Regulatory, Integrative and Comparative Physiology American Journal of Physiology-Renal Physiology Journal of Applied Physiology Journal of Neurophysiology Physiological Genomics Physiological Reviews Physiology Journals We Publish With Partners: Comprehensive Physiology Function Physiological Reports Books We Publish With Springer Methods in Physiology Physiology in Health and Disease Perspectives in Physiology The American Physiological Society (APS) is a global leader in advancing the science of physiology.
