The college is recognized by Govt of Kerala, Directorate of Medical Education, Kerala Paramedical Council and affiliated to University of Calicut and Kerala University of Health Science (Medical University). The college started Functioning with the approval of the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi & the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council, the Al Shifa College of Nursing is affiliated to the University of Calicut Kerala . The Al Shifa College of Nursing has been recognized as a Minority Educational Institution by the National commission for Minority Education Institutions, Government of India in the year 2008. In 2010, the College affiliated under the Health University of Kerala, ie, Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur.
