PND Adarsh Vidyalaya opened its doors for the first time in1954. It was the first institution created by The Punjab Association Regd. Chennai, as an expression of its gratitude to the people of Chennai, who had helped the Community find its feet when i, who had helped the Community find its feet when they landed in Chennai,post partition. The school made its humble beginning with just 37 students. Today, it has close to 2000 students on its rolls from Pre KG. to standard XII. Over the years, P.N.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya School has undergone tremendous developments, in order to provide better facilities for the students. The changes have been made in the infrastructure,in the Introduction of advanced technology for teaching and to maintain good communication with the students. The school provides a liberal and ‘in line with the times’ education to inculcate in the students a spirit of patriotism, a democratic outlook and, a sense of duty and discipline. The school has built up a reputation of securing excellent results year after year in the public examinations at High School and Higher-Secondary levels. Ever since the inception of class XII, our students have secured cent per cent results every year. The percentages of First Classes and Distinctions alone are above 97%. Every year, the students passing out of our institution secure admissions on merit in Medical, Engineering, Law and other professional courses, and also in the Arts and Science colleges. For 5 successive years, the school was adjudged the Best School in Chennai by the TN State Government. From the academic year 2021-22, P.N.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya School has reached another milestone by stepping into the CBSE Stream. Classes from Pre KG. to class VIII in the current year shall follow CBSE Curriculum. The long-felt need of the Punjab Association to have a CBSE School under its belt has now become a reality.
