Vinayaka Missions Sankarachariyar Dental College (VMSDC)

VMSDC has committed itself to become a center for excellence in Dental Education and Hospital Practice in the field of Dental Sciences with the objective of strengthening the health care of the country. VMSDC is located in the city of SALEM, TAMILNAD y. VMSDC is located in the city of SALEM, TAMILNADU State, South India. SALEM is about 200 kms from Bangalore and easily reachable both by Roads and Railways. The Dental College was established in 1986-87 and is at present conducting BDS and MDS courses in eight special divisions. The College is recognized by both the Dental Council of India and the Government of India. It is affiliated to the VINAYAKA MISSION'S RESEARCH FOUNDATION [DEEMED TO BE UNIVERSITY] from 2001-02. Earlier it was affiliated to the TN DR.MGR MEDICAL University CHENNAI TAMIL NADU from 1989-90 and it was affiliated to the MADRAS University from 1986-87. The college is located in NH47 CHENNAI-COCHIN HIGHWAY To make dental education and dental health available to the poor and needy in the rural sector. To spread knowledge with recent advances and to promote research in the field of dentistry. To prepare students to have in depth knowledge in both pre-clinical and clinical dentistry and update advances in diagnosis and therapeutics for the present dental disease pattern in the society.
