Vidush Somany, the then Executive Director of Cera Sanitary Ware Ltd. and the only son of Shree Vikram Somany whose sad and sudden demise happened at the age of 31. Shree Vikram Somany wanted to contribute something to the society so Vidush Somany remains eternal for Kadi and surrounding areas. Hon. Chairman of Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal and President, Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya Shree Vallabhbhai M. Patel immediately sense the desire of Shree Vikram Somany and agreed to Start an Engineering College at Sarva Vidyalaya Campus.
From conception Shree Vallabhbhai Patel thought to make this college at par with World Class Institution. Shree Vallabhbhai Patel also want to start this college in the centenary year of Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal (As it entered in to 100th year). Vidush Somany Istitute of Technology and Research(VSITR) took shape in record time with mammoth infrastructure. VSITR’s entire building is centrally air-conditined with State of Art infrastructure in terms of Computer Centre, computer laboratory, Library, Workshop, Class-rooms, Cafeteria and circulation area.
