Seth Govindji Raoji Ayurved College

Seth Govindji Raoji Ayurved College is one of the oldest grant in aid Ayurved College in Maharashtra. We have undergraduate and Postgraduate Courses as well as fellowship courses. Our college is the only one Jain Minority institution in all over Maha nly one Jain Minority institution in all over Maharashtra. Seth Sakharam Nemchand Doshi established Seth Sakharam Nemchand Jain Aushadhalaya Trust in 1917. In Jain Shastra there are four Donations, most important one is "Aushadhdan". Ayurveda is an ancient science, having unique features and it has its own medicine preparations. The trust started with OPD section and Rasashala in 1917. It continued successfully till 1956 and expanded into a Hospital with various facilities at new location in the heart of the city. The trust developed Ayurved Mahavidyalaya in 1962, which is affiliated to both Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi & Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik. Seth Govindji Raoji had a dream to develop Shudh Ayurved Mahavidyalaya therefore, through his generous donation; the college was named as "seth Govindji Raoji Ayurved Mahavidyalaya". Post Graduate Course in Kaya chikitsa was started in 1986. In 1993, we constructed and provided hostel facility for 50 girls from donations received from Walchand Industries Charitable Trust and named it as 'Smt. Kasturbai Walchand Girls' Hostel. Now thousands of our graduates are serving to society.
