Workshops on various aspects of broadcast journalism keeping in view the current technological trends, innovation in journalism and up to date workflows for news television. Students of PGD in (AD & PR) prepare 360◦ campaigns on various advertising and PR aspects.
Live Case Studies, media tracking on topical issues, writing of investigative stories, surveys on various issues like media consumption habit, audience analysis and branding surveys etc. are part of the curriculum.
SMeH has its exclusive YouTube Channel- MR Info line and a quarterly digital magazine “SMeH Echoes”.

The Faculty of Media studies & Humanities (FMeH) is a part of Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (formerly MRIU) which is a NAAC ‘A’ Grade Accredited Institution. The FMeH comprises departments, namely Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, Department of English and Radio Manav Rachna 107.8, 24X7 FM Channel.
Our aim at the Faculty of Media Studies is not to limit teaching to structured syllabus but to groom our students to face challenges of the fast growing communication technology and media world. Interactive sessions through seminars, workshops and class room lectures and hands-on-training prepares our students to face the challenge of transit from academics to industry and readies them for the job markets. Our syllabus is multidisciplinary and emphasizes to encompass all aspects of media and communication. Regular media industry exposure and through field visits coupled with reporting, recording at an in-house studio and Radio Manav Rachna 107.8 at the University campus and opportunity to contribute to in-house magazines provides the requisite experience of field work to every student.
The FMeH faculty members have been associated with national and multinational organizations such as Aajtak, Zee News, India TV, Sahara Group, Discovery Channel, Doordarshan, All India Radio, Headlines Today, Fairfax Business Media (Australia), TOI Group and prominent universities. FMeH has state of the art equipment (Studio, Production Control Room, Edit bay, Camera, Teleprompter, etc.), a well-equipped broadcast studio and Computer Lab with all the required software for print production. It enjoys natural access to Manav Rachna Community Radio for training the students in radio techniques. The students produce TV & Radio programmes along with lab newspapers and magazines on their own.
