Students of Sabar Gramseva Mahavidyalay highly demanded by the agro-companies producing or manufacturing Fertilizers, Pesticides or Seeds as Marketing Staff or Field Workers. They can also apply for Gramsevak, Extension Officer and Field Assistant in ramsevak, Extension Officer and Field Assistant in Govt of Gujarat. It is mandatory for all teaching and non-teaching staff to stay in residential staff quarters in the college. The Sabar Gramseva Mahavidyalay is run by highly educated and qualified staff. Moreover, the teaching staff of Sabar Gramseva Mahavidyalay are highly experienced. Sabar Gramseva Mahavidyalay is spread across 107 acres. We have also 3 classrooms for BRS, 2 for MSW and 2 for MRS with good ventilation. The college has an Agronomy Lab, Animal Husbandry Lab, Horticulture Nursery, Medicinal Plant Garden and Well Equipped Dispensary. The Sabar Gramseva Mahavidyalay is accredited Grade B by NAAC. Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat (KCG) of Gujarat State Goverment also accredited the college for its excellence in education. The college is affiliated with Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan. The strength of any educational institute lies in its Alumni. The Sabar Gramseva Mahavidyalay was founded in 1986. Every year 50-60 students get graduated and so far, the college holds the record of 1500+ alumni having their career built in various fields. Sabar Gramseva Mahavidyalay has hostel facilities for the students and residential staff quarters for all teaching and non-teaching staffs. There is a full fledged Gaushala (Cowshed) having 30+ milking cows and it is well-equipped with drip-irrigation facilities. SGSM-Sabar Gram Seva Mahavidyalaya established in 1987 and located in Sabarkantha, Gujarat. SGSM is a premier college in Sabarkantha known as excellence educational standards, various educational programs, grand faculty, and various extracurricular activities and modern infrastructure. SGSM-Sabar Gram Seva Mahavidyalaya affiliated by Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University the college supports the highest superior standards and best practices in higher education. The college was recognized in 1987 by the Govt. of Gujarat and was sanctioned financial grant in 1990. Later B.R.S. degree was equaled to B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) by the Department of Education , Govt. of Gujara. In 1998 we were given temporary affiliation and through the notification No. UGJ/1596/2313/KH-1 of secretoriate .Govt. of Gujarat , Gandhi agar Dt.21-06-2008 .Our college has been given permanent affiliation with Hemchandracharya North Gujarat ,Patan, right from 15-06-2001. Shree Gopaldas Patel was born on 24th April 1911 in a small village called Poglu six kilometer away from Prantij, the taluka head quarter. He got his primary education in his birth village, Pogle. Later he went to Ahmedabad and did his graduation in 1934 from the famous Gujarat college and he was awarded B.A. degree. He entered in public life when he found himself participating in satyagrah movement in 1930 as a student. He also actively participated quit India movement in 1942 and was sent to jail for eleven months. After independent in 1948 when Sabarkantha district came in to existence, he joined Indian national Congress as a social worker ,Due to his commitment toward the society and common people he was made the secretary of district congress committee. Then he continued staping on and on and become the president of the district local board. He was elected an M.L.A. of Indian National Congress. It was really a reward of his services that he was made the vice chairman of District Development Board and later he was also chosen the first president of district pachayat. He active contribution In the co-operative activities of the district is incredible .It was his strong , unparallel and trust wordy administration which took the co-operative sector and several institute working in this field at the wghest peak, such as Sabarkantha District sell & purchage union, sabarkantha districts central co-operative bank, spinning meal, Sabarkantha District Milk producers union (Sabar dairy) .His honest administration serried these institutions and strengthen them. Not only these , he also kept inspiring and leading successfully many more co-operative institution and workers. He died on 14-06-1086. To make his work and services towards the people toward the district and the co-operative sectors . The leaders of sabarkantha district, along with numbers of co-operative workers established Shree Gopaldas patel Foundation in 1986 in the memory of this prominent freedom fighter and trust wordy, honest and a true gandhian leader. This was the best homage given to this renounced and prominent leader of co-operative sector. The leading political and co-operative worker of the district who loved Gopadkaka to much decided to shape this idea and the dream really came true when the Gopaldas Patel Foundation was requested under public trust and society act both on 18-08-1986. A big amount of millions of rupees were donated to reach this purpose by the leading c0-operative institution of the district & state.Ex Mp late shri Shantubhai Chunibhai Patel was nominated the first president of foundation having a board of directors including eleven members who themselves were the leading personalities of co-operative and political sectors of the district Shree Gopaldas patel foundation handles several activities for a multi dimensions developments of the district, Its very first step in this direction was the successful beginning of sabar Gram Vidyapeeth, Sonasan, to reach the goal of educating the new generation of the district the main objectives of the foundation is to impart basic higher education, providing with hygiene ,farming , cattling and animal husbandry . To sum up its objectives we can say that the entire rural development it the main motto of this foundation. The foundation has owned 107 acres of land at sonsan village. In this vast land the foundation runs Sabar Gramseva Mahavidyalaya (B.R.S.) , Sabar Samaj Seva Mahavidyalay (M.S.W.) proposed M.R.S. College . Just to impart scientific approach through education to the farmers in farming and animal husbandry. The foundation also runs a cow shed (Gaushala) in 30 units, The major objective of cowshed is to breed and protect the endangering kankarej and Gir cows. The institute has its own residential college and hostel buildings. The foundation is engaged in implementing the several programmes of the government regarding farmers and environment awareness progamme.
