NRI Institute of Information Science and Technology is one of the best engineering college in Bhopal. It is the first institute of the group which came into being in 2000. It provides UG and PG courses both full time and part time for regular and professionals. NIIST is the only institute in central India to get the privilege of giving training to SSB officers. NRI Institute was set up as a part of the self-powered plans of the Taramati Education Society in 2000 formed by NRIs based in the USA and highly qualified technocrats in India, with the objective to erect a true world-class institute in the rural part where students from the vicinity would be benefited from the services that matched global standards. NRI was conceived by a visionary leader, Hon. D Subodh Singh a technocrat and the NRI. The institute has grown at a remarkable pace and has gone on to become an institute of repute within the country.
