The historical city of Nadiad has not only been known for its rich heritage in spiritual, literature and industrial activities but also now coming up as educational hub. In the field of education, a need has been felt to establish a world class heath eed has been felt to establish a world class heath care university, which can provide health services by Indian medicine way like Ayurveda as well as with modern concepts too. With an aim to pursue excellence in teaching and learning and to be a leading research-intensive University and to innovate, strengthen and enhance its position in domestic and international higher education field, especially in the health sciences fraternity, Maganbhai Adenwala Mahagujarat University – MAM University has been established by Mahagujarat Medical Society Nadiad vide Gujarat State Private University Act 2009 on 1st day June 2022. The objective of establishing of MAM University would be to expand knowledge of Indian System of Medicine, its development and analysis through education, research, extension, education, services and effective exhibition as envisaged. This has sought to be achieved by undertaking J. S. Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya as its constituent institute which has its own very good prestige since more than 83 years in the field of Ayurveda. It offers Under Graduate (B.A.M.S), Post Graduate (Ayurved Vachaspati), Ph.D. (Ayurveda Varidhi),Certificates Courses and Value Added Courses. With a view to offer the student a platform and tools to develop requisite skills to become a good health service provider, MAM University has undertaken Dinsha Patel College of Nursing as its constituent institute. It offers PG – M.Sc., UG – B.Sc., Post Basic B.Sc. and Diploma in Nursing like GNM & ANM. MAM University is a place where student is at the center of every action plan, leading to all-round development including inculcating him/her as social and ethical health service provider. The leadership team at MAM University is responsible for articulating the vision of the University, defining the benchmarks and goals, and overseeing implementation and achievements. The team provides rigorous leadership through purposeful and consultative oversight. The MAM university has adopted an approach of meticulous development of course curriculum, which not only provides an academic knowledge but will ensure a hands on practical experience too. For accomplishing this, a robust hospital connect structure has been developed, which has also support the society in general and student in particular.
