The Academies will have uniform rules and regulations in order to bring uniformity in the work activities of all the academies under the administrative jurisdiction of the kannada and culture department of the Karnataka and they will be conducted in nt of the Karnataka and they will be conducted in a planned and co-ordinated manner. Karnataka tulu sahitya academy has the following aspiration and objectives Courage and intentions To encourage study and research in the field of Tulu language, literature, art, culture, folklore and Establishing research institutes, libraries etc. for this purpose. To Co-operative and encourage with similar academies elsewhere and with other institutions in Karnataka for the development and growth of Tulu language and literature. For the purposes of the Academy's work activities, the grants received from the government through donations from various sources are properly collected and used in accordance with the objectives of the Academy. Provide them in writing with the expenditure details of the donation amount. The Academy conducts activities like symposium, seminars, workshops, high-level academic festival etc. Related to its subject area. These activities give awards and reward to talented people in the field of Tulu language, literature, art, folklore and research fields every year. Details of the working activities of the academy Programs of the Academy – Kammata symposium for Language Development, Workshop, Seminar, Poet Conference, processing Program, Book release, Literary Conference: Cultural, Festival Award – Fellow Award Ceremony, Award and Publication Prize Giving Ceremony, Kala Mela, Sale of the ‘Tulu Appe’ book abhiyana, Freedom of Suvarna Mahotsava, Sahitya Karnas, felicitation programs Endowment lecture and prize giving programme, work release functions, Tulu Utsava parba, Centenary of Tulu Literary Artists, Tenth Anniversary Program of tulu academy Month Programs to felicitate Tulu Gentlemen, Tulu Learning Scheme for Non-Tuluvas etc. In collaboration with non tulu academy and the programmes held under the subsidy places where the programs were held outside the state. Programme with state academies: The academy planes to conduct a programme called cultural confluence with the aim of introducing tulu, kannada, kodava, and urdu languages. Celebration of 50th year of Independence As a part of swatantra suvarna mahotsava the academy has published a work called “Bangar Parbada Singara Padakolu” also in 1994 the tenth anniversary programme was celebrated in commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the academy and as part of this. The academy published a commemorative volume called sahitya siri. Encouragement to tulu writers: With the aim of encouraging tulu language and literature a monthly issue called “MADIPU” is published and encouraged to writers. Along with this tulu authors also encouraged by buying tulu works from editors. Special unit scheme: Programme conducted for scheduled castes and schedule tribes under Karnataka government special unit scheme. DUDI SADAGARA : Exhibition , Seminar and dialogue on various types of DUDI KUNITA NALIKE - Learning tulu folk dance training camp PANARA - Nalike Panara Nalike race, Demonstration of various dances and seminar interaction with artists. Handicrafts exhibition and tulu yakshagana performances. Dream of kudiya, male kudiya culture festival. Koraga Ranga Stage training for koraga children. talk on culture inspiration. Distribution of fold accessories - Kannada by Karnataka government to 10 scheduled caste artists and harmonium, walaga, shruthi, Tanki Instruments have been distributed with the help of special unit project of kannada and culture department apart from that the academy has published three works of Dalit writers Mugeraru. A comprehension study of Mugeraru Community. and also the academy has published three literary work name called NILE. History of tulu literature – Another great contribution to tulu language and literature is a great book of tulu language tulu sahitya charitre which was done in collaboration with Humpy Kannada University. Suvarna Karnataka Project:- In the year 2005-06, 2006-2007, Karnataka celebrated the Suvarna Karnataka Mahotsava, and the Academy has published various books as part of this. On the occasion of Suvarna SAMSKRUTHI Dibbana, programs will be held at various places in the state. Also undertaking various CD documentation projects, palm manuscript information collection and manuscript, documentation projects, including Tulu Nadu cultures, such as Bhutaradhana, Nagaradhana, Tulu folk dances introduction, Yakshagana, Tulu Siri, historical places of Tulu Nadu, the way the Academy has been, the personal heritage of Tulu Nadu, and 10 CDs have been Texts of Tulu Olegari Granthas – Plans have been undertaken for printing and documenting in supplementary form along with palmistry documentation of the great texts of tulu script in book form. Another project of Suvarna Karnataka project is collection and documentation of Palmistry, under this scheme Dharmasthala Culture from Dakshina Kannada District: Research Station, Regional Performing Arts Study Center from Udupi District and Kasaragod Zone. Dr. Radhakrishna Bellur - Collected information and submitted a report successfully. Also, the palm trees of the great 7 texts of Tulu such as Vinayaka Stuti, Ananta Vrita Katha, Tulu Bhagavata, Tulu Mahabharata, Punyaha Vidhi, Tulu Ramayana, Srimannarayana have been documented and published in book form. Udupi's Prof. S.A. Krishna, Udupi has combined and done it successfully. Research Project:- With the aim of providing opportunity to the students of various subjects from the academy, the research project has been undertaken and study of eight subjects has been conducted, Research works have been published, Tulu drama and tulu music programmes have been conducted with the aim of encouraging art and culture. Beside The academy has published three best tulu works after receiving the opinion of scholars. Out of state programs:- In outbound activities, programs have been organized and successfully conducted in outlying districts of Karnataka and in various places of the country, outbound programs have been held in places like Thiruvananthapuram, Coimbatore, Mumbai, Poona, Baroda, Surat and Delhi. About inclusion of Tulu language in the 8th article of the Constitution of India :- The Academy of Associations held various conferences on the inclusion of Tulu language, one of the five Dravidian languages, in the 8th article of the Indian Constitution, a delegation led by the former president of the academy, in the leadership of late. Balakrishna Shetty, went to Bangalore in the year of 2001 and submitted request letter about this to Chief Minister, Hon'ble Mr. S.M. Krishna on 25-6-2001 in Bangalore. and requested to put pressure on the central government to include Tulu language in Article 8 of the Constitution of India and then the state government discussed in the cabinet meeting and recommended to the central government. In 2003, with the co-operation of all the Tulu people. A Tulu conference was held in Delhi under the leadership of Karnataka, tulu Sahitya Academy, Akhila Bharatha Tulu Union Mangalore and Tulu Development Farm, gently conducted tulu conference: on 16-02-2003 Dr. Vamannandavara and Scholars met and requested farmer Priminister A.B. Vajapey, Minister Geroge and Shri Veerappa moily for the inclusion of tulu language in the 8th schedule of the constitution. Meanwhile the Sitakantha Mahajana Report Committee raised the question about the merits of Tulu language in response to which Mr. Seetharam Kulal, who was the president of Tulu academy. submitted a brief on Tulu language to this committee to the Prime Minister, Union Minister, Rajya Sabha members, Lokasaba Membars and Vidhan Sabha members. On 17th Nov 2007 along with seetharama Kulal and other scholars request was submitted to Hon’ble Sri Manmohan Singh who was the priminister at that time to add Tulu Language to the 8th Schedule of the Indian constitution. On this occasion Dr. Palthadi, Ramakrishna Achar who is the currently president of the academy also accompanied and argued. The political leader about this matter. Tulu Bhawan Project - Tulu Sahitya Academy has been working for the past 16 years to save and develop the Tulu language, but the academy has not had its own semi-detached premises, and has taken up a plan to use a new building, and initiated the Tulu Cultural Bhavan building project. In this regard, 0.5 acres of free land has been allotted for the construction of the building of Karnataka Sahitya Academy in the name of Department of Kannada and Culture on behalf of Dakshina Kannada District Administration. The related technical works have already been carried out, the resource mobilization work for the building level has been continued and the building construction project has been undertaken by the Academy. Bale Tulu Kalpuga Project - Under the project called Bale Tulu Kalpuga, a project has been undertaken to teach Tulu to the local public, the unemployed and those who do not know Tulu. In this, the people who worked in different local industries were allowed to speak Tulu and they were able to interact easily with the locals, which made this project successful. This project has been successfully implemented in Mangalore, Udupi, Puttur, Bantwala, Belthangady and its benefits have been seen in the eyes of the students. This project is being run by the academy for the last 6 years. Tulu World Conference – The exhibition of rich tulu language and literature was successfully held at ujire under the supervision of Poojya Veerendra Hegde of Dharmastala in association with tulu academy from 10th December 2009 to 13th December 2009. In this conference there were seminars on tulu issues, poets, concert, folk dances, and cultural programmes along with specialties of tulunadu. 6thStd Tulu Syllabus Plan - Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Districts to teach Tulu as a third optional subject from sixth class onwards, the government has issued an order on 26th March 2010 and to allow the language to be taught in schools. This plan gave an opportunity to learn the Tulu language, in this regard with the co-operation of DSERT Tulu text book was created and by holding a conference in each taluk. An Information workshop was held for the head teachers of the primary school and the benefits of learning tulu language were explained in the conference.
