Jyotiben was a progressive woman, who kept herself updated with the time. She went to school till 10th grade and got married at a very young age. However, she never let her strong desire of learning extinguish. She took every opportunity to learn new
xtinguish. She took every opportunity to learn new skillsets, may it be learning new information or the use of technology. She started learning computer at the age of 70 years. Jyotiben served as president of Kapol Mahila Mandal for many years, organized many successful social events while taking care of her very large family. She was a detailed, organized and system-driven woman who always
strived for excellence and believed in sharing her success by lifting others. At the of 60 years, she started Mangal Parichay Marriage Bureau to help the young generation of community.
As Shri Nayanbhai always quotes, “My mother is my first and the best management guru. She taught me everything that my MBA didn’t.”
Jyotiben believed that a woman holds a very responsible position in a family and society. She is an anchor that holds the older generation and younger generation together. Also, a woman has the maximum span of learning, starting with her own upbringing and education, to that of her children and the grandchildren. It is utmost important for her to keep up with the changing times. If a woman is empowered, entire family progresses which uplifts the community and eventually the society. It’s a ripple effect.
