The jurisdiction of Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University is spread across seven districts of North Gujarat region viz.,
Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Mehsana, Patan, Gandhinagar, Kachchh and Aravalli. SDAU was established with intent of the better development of agriculture and allied sectors in the North Gujarat Agroclimatic Zone. The SDAU endeavors to serve the agricultural interests for the economic development of the farming community of the region.
The university has 8 colleges, 28 research stations and 3 KVKs under its jurisdiction.
College of Basic Science and Humanities was established in the
year 2010 to generate interdisciplinary symphony as pure, applied and

The role of the college was envisioned as to create a matrix of basic disciplines of pure sciences so that agricultural disciplines flourish well on the sound base. Successful execution of this intent will provide the university with technical and scientific competence. The college has been recognized under section 2f and 12B as University Constituent College for unlimited central assistance by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi (Annexure – I).
Thus, SDAU has become a trail blazer by envisioning and establishing such a well thought college that broadens the horizons of agricultural sciences and provides an extra edge to the university.

Since the basic purpose of this university, which is established in a remote belt of the region, is to provide the rural masses with knowledge empowerment, this college has served immensely to the scientific
