Projection of Brass’s Alpha and Beta estimate for female in U.P., India using MCMC Technique in Bayesian Procedure
Abstract
In the present paper we have projected Brass�s Alpha and Beta for female population in Uttar Pradesh using Linear regression model. Alpha and Beta are estimated from past lx values for female population. Parameters of the model have been estimated using MCMC (Monte Carlo Markov Chain) Technique in Bayesian Procedure. We have assumed Non-informative prior distribution to implement the Bayesian approach for the parameter estimation.
