Abstract

The healthcare sector is witnessing tremendous transformation due to the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) for predictive analysis and decision support systems. AI-powered models are poised to improve clinical decision-making, early disease detection, and operational efficiency within the healthcare information systems (HIS). This paper explores the intersecting relationship between AI and healthcare information systems, with emphasis on the impact on decision support tools and predictive analytics. Empirical studies, case analyses, and statistical comparisons were deployed to examine the role of AI applications in improving patient outcomes, reducing costs, and optimizing healthcare workflows. The challenges, ethical concerns, and future directions in AI-driven healthcare solutions are also discussed.
