Green Investment in India: A Green Fintech Perspective

Abstract

The combination of financial technology and environmental sustainability, known as green fintech, is revolutionizing India’s investment landscape by democratising access to sustainable financial instruments. This study explores the role, opportunities and challenges of green fintech in driving green investments in India. Drawing on extensive secondary data, the research is directed by the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Institutional Theory to analyse both user-level adoption behaviour and institutional policy alignment. Case studies such as Revfin and SolarSquare, illustrate how digital solutions enable inclusive and eco-conscious finance.
