Abstract
A global epidemic, gender-based violence (GBV) affects individuals with all ages, identities, and roots. It covers a variety of destructive actions taken against people because of their gender, such as physical, sexual, emotional, and financial abuse. This ubiquitous problem affects relationships, health, economy, education, and human rights, among other areas of society. We will examine in this research that the nature and prevalence of GBV, its underlying causes, and its far-reaching effects on both individuals, and communities in this introduction. We will also talk about how crucial it is to handle GBV holistically, emphasizing prevention, care for survivors, and gender equality. By comprehending the intricate mechanics of gender-based violence, and its ramifications on society, we may endeavour to construct societies that are safer, more just, and devoid of prejudice and violence for every person.
