Abstract
Researchers working on sexual violence in the educational field are confronted with questions about the ethical responsibility and legal conditions of their actions and are looking for guidance in practice. These recommendations aim to provide initial answers to these questions without going into detail. They are intended to serve as a basis for further discussion and are based on the ethical guidelines of the German Society for Educational Science, the German Society for Psychology and the Professional Association of German Psychologists, the German Society for Sociology and the Professional Association of German Sociologists, the World Medical Association (Declaration of Helsinki)[ 2 ] and on the regulations of the ethics committees of medical faculties.
